I just thought i would list down our crazy, mostly sex related motions

Prelim 1
This house would make sex education compulsory

Prelims 2
This house believes that publicly supported education programs should distribute condoms

Prelims 3
This house should stop selling water to Singapore

Prelims 4
This house would lower the age limit to enter clubs

Quarter-finals
This house believes that rapists should be castrated

Semi-finals
This house would make alcohol illegal

Finals
This house would grant automatic right of asylum to women who have been trafficked for prostitution

ok...the hype from the whole debate thing is dying down but guess what? the stress isn't..
today we entered class and the first thing that me and tiff realized was that we were behind...way behind...and then after school as if the catching up homework wasn't enough to add to my stress level, there was the solo instrument prelims for piano and acoustic guitar

after almost an hour waiting for all the other contestants to play it was my turn then zheng xi's then sher min's...and guess what? we all got through to finals..congrats guys..anyway, mr zac says to play with emotion and to move audience...i think sher min suggested that i cry while playing..heh

anyway..our class garnered another medal, this time from eugene who won a silver medal in acoustic guitar...congrats..which brings the rembrandt tally to 1 gold and 1 silver..

i'm really proud of you guys..make what could be our last year together a good one

2 stressful days

7 debates

210 minutes of intense swearing, scolding and prepping

7 motions involving sex ed, rape, condoms, castration and prostitutes

tears, stress, accusations of my having eating disorders,

and a lot of hope, luck and determination later

I stand before you to say thank you to(in no particular order)

Ms. L, Matt, Kareem, Andrew, Daniel, Tiff, Elliot, Amaris, Vivien, the teachers who supported us, classmates and everyone else who made this possible

to the amazing teams who we learned a lot from and gained immense experience from the first debate to the last

thanks to tiff for giving me tissue when i cried when we got into finals

thanks to the adjudicators for giving good advice and constructive criticism

and thanks to the sky that only looked more beautiful after a win we will never forget
