SNOW!!!!!

ok..i'm in seoul right now and....it's snowing!!!!..woooo!!!!...anyway..just came back from dinner with my dad's korean friend and his daughter who speaks really good english =)..pretty much slept the whole day cause couldn't sleep much during the midnight flight..so nothing much to add...

the snows been going on for almost 30 minutes now and the whole scenery's already covered in a centimeter of snow...this is the first time i've seen snow fall...it's much more enjoyable than looking at snow that's already fallen on the ground...i must say though..snow fall looks a lot like falling dandruff...only bigger..and it melts

heh..anyway..gonna end here...i smell like beef.. =P

Back from Tokyo!

ok...after many days of running around markets, train stations and using strange forms of english to communicate i'm finally back from tokyo...altogether me, my dad and my sis took more than 900 pictures, ate food, memorised the subway routes, ate more food, went grocery shopping, ate more food, visited shrines, ate more food, walked around their beautiful parks, ate MORE food, and ate food...yea you get it

the day of our flight to tokyo.. ok..here's the thing...if you know me...you'll know that i hate flying.. i absolutely loathe it...the turbulence, the air pressure pressing against my ears, the take offs, the landings, and most of all...THE FOOD..yea

anyway...we had an hour plus flight to Kota Kinabalu for our transit flight where we had to wait an hour for our six hour flight to NaritaKK airport

after arriving we checked into Elite-inn in Yushima, Tokyo

after checking in and getting settled down we went for our first dinner at a nearby soba place where we had tamago-yaki, sashimi, sushi and cold soba..yummm...

after dinner, went back to the apartment for a good nights sleep

next morning woke up, had breakfast and got on the subway to the outer tsukiji market (not the inner fish market)..don't expect lots of pictures of market stuff cause a lot of the sellers there don't allow photos to be taken of the stuff they're selling...evil..only managed to get this one blurred shot

anyway had lunch at sushi-zanmai...one of many restaurants of the same chain scattered around the market...food was really fresh i got the salmon donburi with ikura and salmon sashimi while my parents and sis had a chirashi-donafter that...we took the sub home and attended the christmas party the apartment manager was holding..the food the served was really good...roast beef, crackers, parma ham, fresh fruits and pizza...they even entertained with piano and clarinet performances by one really geng clarinet player...

after the party...we went out to explore the technology street that is akihabara...the sad part about akihabara is that all export versions meaning ones that use english or can be used outside japan are super expensive...way more expensive than over here...(so we didn't buy anything)...but all their local versions are dirt cheap..a nintendo wii japan version currently goes for RM900 in japan and includes wii sports/fit...the export version goes for about RM2000..yea..see what i mean

anyway...in akiba there's one thing you can't miss...large complexes floors above floors, rows upon rows of UFO catchers..if you don't know what that is this is one.

anyway...my sister decided to try her luck and guess what??!! we actually won something..hahahaha

Weekend in...the land where the sun rises so early it wakes you up at 5 in the morning..

went to a few places already so far...ginza, asakusa, tsukiji fish market and we went to a christmas party yesterday that was being held at the ground floor of our apartment block

Greetings from Tokyo!

ok...it's exactly 12 in the morning in tokyo...but still 11 in malaysia

we started off the day at 6.30 in the morning...got to the airport...had a 1 hour flight to Kota Kinabalu...i hate flying by the way...waited for transit for an 1 hour plus..got on a 6 hour plus flight to Narita (did i say i hate flying?) and now we're here...

took us about an hour to get from narita to tokyo and on the way spotted some really nice fireworks...dad said it was a sign of welcome for us...meh...after that we checked into a really clean service apartment...WITH A PIANO!!!!!...hahaha..ahhh

went for dinner at some small nearby restaurant where no one understood what we were trying to say..but guess what?? we still managed to order good food...then went to a convenience store and started buying more stuff to eat!!!..hahah

1st day only and i'm already stuffed..=\

Bloody hell

forgot to mention...few days ago had a blood test done cause i've always wanted to find out my blood group...my maid and i were talking about it before the actual test

anyway...me, my sister, brother and sister-in-law decided to do the test... they were all taking the more complex ones which meant testing for cholestrol and cancer markers and stuff like that..

me on the other hand only had to do a little prick for blood grouping

my brother went first...guy took 3ml of blood red...well...blood ...then left

then my sister went..guy took another 3ml

then it was my turn..*the guy started laughing when he found out me and my sis's names were wenwen and weiwei...stupid guy*..anyway he started prodding around the crease at my elbow trying to get a good enough vein..then the alcohol rub and poke...

for my first blood draw i have to say it wasn't as painful as i thought it would have been =)

anyway..in my drowsy state i didn't realize that not only was i not supposed to have my blood drawn from the elbow...he also took more than needed!!!!..so gonna sue him

anyway..after the test went to mcdonalds for breakfast..haha...stay healthy for blood test eat fat filled food after =D

i'm A+..haha..like mom

which means i shouldn't consume large amounts of meat like O-blooded dad can..instead i have to eat large amounts of vegetables..-_-

ok..it's been nine days since i last posted...was supposed to go out yesterday with min and the ex-acmarians but ended going to pavillion for shopping with my family..heh...yea..i kinda dumped her and left her the only girl there..

anyway...sushi and ramen are coming closer everyday...can't wait for friday...the funny thing is i'm leaving on the same day as min, lisa and the rest of their bilden mates who're going to china...and i'm coming back on the same day..cool huh? might be going for kimchi after sushi too... so won't be home for christmas...='(

anyway..i'm supposed to blog about me and lisa's cinderella and spongebob convo yesterday but the convo's in the laptop so...since i'm a very lazy person...you might never see it..heh

on a different note...i got my first pair of earrings the day before yesterday..=D..(not including the ones they used to pop holes in my ears)...i don't have a pic of them now...but they're giraffes haha...cute ones..

yesterday i think was probably the most interesting day of the hols so far... after years of saying i'm not ready or too scared to get them...i got my ears pierced...yea...scream in horror...=O

it's a STAR!!!!..heh

went to diamond and platinum in curve to do them where the ladies were all like 'ahh...don't eat seafood ah...','or eggs ahh..','not pain rite??..'...yea...haha...my brother and sis-in-law took me and then we went to ikano and started running around ACE HARDWARE!!!!...it's actually a very interesting place...they say they're a hardware store but i think they have more chocolates and candies than 7-11...mmmm..chocolate..

anyway, yesterday was also the finale of the amazing race asia...hong kong guys won...kinda sad cause malaysian team didn't win cause they were my favourite out of the three.. this season's race was pretty boring cause the teams couldn't match up to marc and rovilson from season 2 and the places they went weren't really challenging...but oh well...it's over

i'm gonna start uploading my play-by-ear vids but the file sizes are so huge i dread the day i'm gonna do that...anyway...i think my laptop battery died in the storm yesterday...stupid lightning

Holidays part 1

Life is boring now...went out on friday with my sis to one utama and went to delicious for dinner... there we saw elliot who sat next to us with his mom...wow...

then she wanted to go shopping for stuff..ended up going to the face shop where we admired kwon sang woo's face and then she went shopping for swimming suits..

that's pretty much it for friday

saturday...went to curve to firgure out how to operate the photo printer properly with my dad and then went to ikea for currypuffs and ice cream which i felt tasted a tad bit sour..ewww

at night went to irina's place where talked and regained our interest in neopets...

saw rite now as i'm blogging i'm earning money on neopets again...wow...

for p&a nite i ended up being the emcee...switching from previous role as 'ensemble dancer'...

being the emcee was great but sometimes i'd be watching everyone dancing on stage and be saying... 'i used to be in that' ...heh

anyways...besides being the emcee i also got the silver academic excellence award for the form and a student of the year nomination... somehow my parents and sister who got proper tickets managed to sneak my brother and sis-in-law into the hall too...they even thought of bringing marie, my maid who's pretty much part of our family already, but she said she might cry at seeing me on stage...which i found a bit funny and sweet at the same time...so yea...my whole family was there to support me

yesterday was the last day of school..there are some pictures in my phone and possibly other people's phones but i'm lazy to upload them...heh

i have to say...yesterday was definitely the most boring last day ever..maybe cause we had our class party on wednesday already...class parties are supposed to be on the LAST DAY...but cause of 3-way-conference today they had to keep the classes clean so party on the last day was out of the question

anyway...after school...my dad got us to go to curve, went to the canon store and bought an EOS and a photo printer....suddenly he's turned into a photo junkie...so since they asked me to test it out during the holidays...here are my first test shots with the big black cam

ok...from the title you might think i happened to drink spoilt milk or something..actually...i had the strangest thought in the car on the way to school this morning...since my parents listen to chinese radio, i hear lot's of advertisements that while in english sound perfectly logical in chinese i can't really understand...

i'm a chinese banana........anyway...

there was some advertisement going on about how some brand of baby milk helped this kid learn stuff really quick and become super smart with it's super DHA powers and stuff like that

in the advert, the kid talking had a super long name and his first name was 'anderson??!!'..yea

then he started talking about t-rexs and how they liked to eat 'san jiao long' for meat...or as i interpreted it, 3 foot dinosaur...his mum attributed he's pandai-ness to milk

WHAT KIND OF DINOSAUR HAS 3 FEET???!!!...what kind of living thing for that matter has 3 feet?

maybe ants where even after you squish them and the legs fall off they still move

anyways...the point is i felt it was kinda absurd for these companies to make the public believe that by making their babies drink their milk the can become future einsteins...i mean seriously...go ahead and advertise it if the calcium content were higher or if there's vegetables powder added in for extra minerals...but if milk really made you smarter everyone would be drinking it to be smart...imagine adults drinking baby milk

obviously these milk adverts are increasing cause of the recent melamine cases...but still come on...don't go around fooling the poor public that milk is the elixir of intelligence

oh yea...now that i think about it, i think 'san jiao long' is triceratops...jiao can mean horn too..whoops..sorry little kid

Ok...so this is the first time i'm blogging since august 1st...(even though the post before says 19th of august it was actually a draft i saved back then and just posted today)

a lot's been going on so i was really lazy to blog...but here's what's happened in about the last 2 months besides the post before

• prom the musical:- until around 2 weeks ago..i was in this as one of the ensemble...now i'm.

• emcee for p&a nite:- yea...there were auditions going on and ms harriet made me audition...so i went up...auditioned with boon seng(which livern found very funny...==') and somehow got in...so i dropped the musical and found myself one of 3 emcees for the night

• student of the year:- got nominated again..which meant nerve-wrecking interview and photoshoots...this year there were 3!!!???!!!...ugh...and they only used pictures from one..the last one

• exams:- the year end exams meant cram-studying for me...i know how people say you shouldn't cram before the exams..but that's the only way i can study...went pretty well...so far only haven't gotten back art and i'm satisfied with all the marks so far

• bukit tinggi trips:- my mom had this idea one day that we go to bukit tinggi...this place nearby genting which happens to have a lot of vegetables...which she so adores...in 2 months we've already been there twice and we stayed there overnight once...the next post will be all about bukit tinggi

• sher min's outing:- and just today...we had a one utama outing as a kinda birthday outing for sher min..reached mph where she asked us to meet and found ken wandering around...followed him to go find sher min in the kid's section(where we suspected she might be) and found her around the animals and pets section...

1. then she started giving us candy..and we walked around mph looking at books which sher min said were all gay
2. then we saw the gift cards section...thinking the monkey b'day card would have suit sher min i picked it up and opened it only to have it start singing some horrible tune at me...the mph lady looked at me weird at this point...then sher min proceeded to look at a card with a half naked man
3. realising no one was coming we left mph and wondered around the shops..then some of the guys called sher min to ask where we were...and sher min said infront of 'forever21'...then we started walking...when they couldn't find us, we said we were in front of 'topshop' and sherm asked us to walk to esprit..and i think you get the idea...in the end everyone managed to find everyone else..and we went to eat
4. we went to eat at mcdonalds...where all the 5 girls got medium sets and all the 5 guys got large sets...wow...that's when we all started talking about where to go after lunch...the guys wanted to watch a horror movie and lisa started freaking out...as we were talking about horror movies tiff started reading anne frank's diary and pointed the cover straight at sher min's face
5. as sher min was eating her fries she turned and stared straight into the face of anne frank...which caused her to choke...anne frank made her choke again later...
6. lisa started taking pictures of sher min and showed one rather stoned picture of her to me as i was drinking coke...just like how anne frank makes sher min choke...sher min makes me choke
7. after eating we went to check out tgv if there was the horror movie the guys wanted to watch..fortunately for lisa there wasn't so we went bowling instead
8. for the first 4 or 5 rounds sher min scored a total score of 0...then she did some voodoo magic and the machine started giving out spares randomly and knocking down the remaining pins...finally cos of the machine the girls ended up beating the guys..woooo!!!
9. after that it was the arcade...bryan and sher min went racing against each other...then me and tiff raced against each other..where she got 3rd and i got last..heh...then lisa and livern started playing some kind of music rythym game like o2jam where they were approached by some random stranger in pink
10. after the arcade we left and went down..the guys except bryan went somewhere else so sher min suggested going to coffee bean...instead we went to delicious..sat down got menus and left..interesting rite?  after that i had to leave so yea...that was pretty much it for the outing =D

there after almost 3 months without blogging i've updated!! woooo

it's been pretty long since i last posted cos of everything that's going on...olympics and merdeka carnival...so here are the updates...

Olympics

i'm pretty proud to say i've been supporting malaysia through the olympics even as my sister is constantly shouting things like 'they'll lose la'..'sure punctured wan'..'no hope' (that was all in swimming) sadly even as i shouted none of our malaysian swimmers got through...hopefully yu yang will get good enough to go to the olympics one day

on a different note...michael phelps got 8 gold medals!!...

for badminton...our medal hope lee chong wei got through to the finals but lost to lin dan losing malaysia's first gold medal again...oh well silver's better than nothing

Merdeka Carnival

for the merdeka carnival our class decided to set up a stall playing the 'knock-down-the-can' games (can't think of proper name) and selling drinks...at the end of the day our class made around RM180+ profit...pretty good considering we nearly pulled out at the last minutes...big thanks to yu yang who stayed at the stall the whole day and then won a hamper from the pta(maybe that's what you get for helping people)

newton set up a water balloon war stall...and when i went there to try and sell drinks...ili caught me and kok wei threw a water balloon at me...==' later i went there again with tiff and pui yee and got soaked by lisa

me and tiff wanted to sit on the zorb ball but the line was kinda long so we went to the tetra pak stall and won paper holders, magnets and notebooks...haha...then cos the line was still there tiff and shu yi went to scream park to see how scary it was...when they came out, tiff was shouting about how a waste of money that was...

went back to the stall and yu yang closed it up by stacking a huge pyramid and knocking the whole thing down like a real 'closing ceremony'...then tiff's friend alina passed by and she managed to get exactly RM18 from her which was the price for 2 on the zorb ball..i guess it was our fate to ride it...it was already around 5 then so there was practically no line left...and boy was the ride amazingly COOL!!!!!! that was one heck of a great experience

i had to leave after that...and that night got more great news...our class got 3rd for the impersonations competition doing Star Wars..they won RM50 and a hamper...congrats to

yesterday was lisa's 14th birthday and it was at paddington's at curve...reached there kinda late but before li-vern...i got her a box of famous amos..sher min was acting all high like usual and ordered the kid's meal..the rest of us all ordered our pancakes and ate while taking pics...i had to leave early though cause of the lee chong wei match so didn't know much else of what happened

when we left...we made a detour to mcdonalds...my bus with tiff, me, eugene, azri and nicholas being the only rembrandts in a see of galileos arrived late and in the wrong bus cause of some mix ups with the buses

at mcdonalds me and tiff decided it was too crowded and went to pizza hut where she met lyana and i met den den den...sher min..haha

at pizza hut the newtons started experimenting with tabasco resulting in a lot of burning lips...haha *see lisa's blog for funny videos like sher min's "serious moment"*

sadly i didn't get pictures of those...

at around 3.20 p.m. the trip ended for the day and sher min was still hyper...waddya know

it's really the people you go with that makes the trip worthwhile

Last Week...

Bollywood

ok..so...let's see...overall pretty boring week filled with class tests...but of course with people like tiff in the class..things don't stay boring

sejarah class was going on as normal...when the subject went to bollywood after we were on the topic of indian slaves

tiff showed off her amazing skills at singing in english, malay, chinese and tamil...yes

she even wowed amanda...and shared her passion about some bollywood show with miss lee

and then they started arguing about how to pronounce the name of the show

soon the whole class started gushing about bollywood

shu yi started dancing aound her book like they dance around trees

melvin started singing in tamil some indescribable song that's goes lelele....or something like that

trust me it's the worst song you'll ever hear

The Evil Mouse (We Got Punked)

ok...i know my title may sound like an enid blyton book title...but trust me when you continue reading you will understand...

anyway...besides having an english class test nothing else was particularly worth writing about...until...

SCIENCE CLASS

mr. m came in and told us to continue with our project...so we did....but the computer was a bit disfunctional and wouldn't switch on...so i asked alcent to help me switch it on...not knowing that then was the time he would execute his evil plan...

when it was on...we just continued and did our work like normal...put pics in the project....add extra points....then when we were on a webpage were there was a link to hear a song by 'the beach boys', the mouse started going all funky...

it moved to the song link and clicked it nearly making me, tiff, anderson and mel listen to 'the beach boys'...then the pointer procedeed to close the page!!!...while we weren't even touching the mouse

then on our presentation page the mouse clicked the close button and clicked 'don't save'...meaning all our work was GONE!!!!!!!!!!! so since melvin and tiff were holding the mouse then...me being the tyrant of the group started getting all worked up and angry...after all the arguments we decided to start over...we tested webpages and our presentation and everytime it would click the close button...

among our crazy thoughts of who/what it could've been:-

• an ant who doesn't want us to do work was living inside the mouse
• the mouse was possessed by an evil 'no work' ghost
• melvin could connect with the mouse telepathically

soon we started spreading the news about our physco mouse to everyone around...me screaming most of the time and the mouse still closing our pages..so tiff decided to 'communicate with the mouse' typing out 'oi stop it la' messages on notepad..but the mouse would start highlighting and deleting the messages

finally...i decided to go around checking if anyone looked like they were controlling our com...knowing he would do something like this i asked eugene tai...obviously trying to look/sound like his smart enough to do something like this...he said he was controlling the physco mouse

when i went back to tell them...they already found the real culprit...alcent connected another mouse to our cpu and most of the guys were in on the trick...0.0'

at the end of it all..mel came up to us and said his words of wisdom

'we just got punked'

one thing i forgot to add about last month (which tiff reminded me) is my new dog rudolph

yea...strange name but if you see him you'll get why

he's a brown toy poodle with a red nose

that's rudolph...mika felt jealous at first cause he was getting all the attention but they're fine now...

today's friday which meant prom nite rehearsal..today after breathing we did 'listening and repeating'...me and siew bee started fighting about pineapples...

after that we had to create still images like how we do in SPA speech and drama class...my group had to a swimming gala-esque scene where we were spectators...after that we did an american idol scene of where i had to be randy...'yea dawg that's rite'...

then after that it was shopping scene where lisa confused mr zac with her dress trying scene...then after that it was a picnic scene where i had to be the so called centre of attention so i did the first that came to mind...stuffing my mouth...and since we had to freeze my jaw was stuck like...

on the whole it was a pretty great lesson...can't wait for next week

Resurrection...

i wanted to wait for another 4 days to set some sort of record for most days for a blog being unupdated while still being considered 'alive'...but i realised a lot of people were commenting on how it was dead and how uncommited i am...like a certain miss 'everettjeremiahbarnabee' *cough*irina*cough*...so...i'm finally updating

important moments in the past month:-

Paramount
the paramount championships went on and i surprisingly won another bronze for solo instrument-piano. sadly we didn't get any medal for group singing...a bit disappointed with that...but at least 'david cook's song' won the gold!!!!! a little blog worthy conversation happened cos of the bronze for piano

Prom the Musical

somehow...for the strangest reason i got in for the musical of which i almost forgot i auditioned for...tiff just came up to me and told me i got in...

so today...me and lisa (who also got in =D) went for a meeting we didn't even know about till 5...this meant i had to leave tiff at reaching out to make bookmarks [sorry tiff =(]...there we did breathing exercises to exercise our diaphragms..it was pretty awkward at first cause we had to bend and breathe and make a 'shhh' sound when we exhaled...but it was pretty funny lesson cause mr zac kept using awkward phrases that made the guys start having strange assumptions...then he told us about the songs and the plot of the musical...sounds pretty good so far..we might be having practice again this friday...so you can expect updates

The Fall

my sister and decided to revive the badminton rackets and shuttlecocks that lay lying in the dust to help burn the calories...on sunday as i was playing...my brother decided to hit it up on the porch roof...being the youngest and strangely tall and light enough to get it i was the 'volunteer' and to get it i had to stand on my parent's bonsai wooden platform...after i got the stupid shuttlecock down...i had to get down...so my sister with mika in one hand and trying to hold me with the other helped me get down...unfortunately i didn't manage to hear the word 'WAIT' meaning she wasn't ready yet and jumped down...the next thing i knew my legs were in pain with skin tearing and my left foot was stuck in the wooden gaps twisted...and guess what?? tomorrow i have to run 1500m...oh joy

My New Book!!!

i just finished this really sweet book called My Sister's Keeper...

i cried at the end cause jodi picoult had to write the saddest ending in the world!!! why???!!!!

anyway...this book is about a thirteen year old girl called Anna who was conceived so she could save her sister Kate who has leukemia...so ever since she was born she had to donate blood cells and bone marrow and now a kidney

then one day she reads in the newspaper about this lawyer called Campbell Alexander and decides to sue her parents...wow

and since her mom is a former lawyer...her mom is representing herself...so it becomes a family battle...all while Kate is in the hospital dying from kidney failure...

in the end you will encounter the biggest twisted ending ever...what you expected is definitely not the ending...

but either way it's still a good book

and the movie is coming out soon...with cameron diaz as the mom and abigail breslin as anna

so...if you like marley and me expect to like this book...
